3D Design using Virtual Real Worlds
So, what's the real, long-term meaning behind the explosive growth in the 3D Design and Virtual Real Worlds?
It's simple: more and more products are totally, completely, and permanently being designed in 3D; immersed in a real-time 3D virtual environment. The days of CAD as a "computerized pencil" are well and truly over. Those who have been in the business for any length of time have two reactions to this. First, it's about time. Second, we just hope the neo-Luddites who said it would never happen realize how wrong they've been proved to be.
